Easter is all about Miracles, and somehow with how incredibly rainy this Spring has been, miraculously we had beautiful weather on Easter Weekend. This year Eric and I hosted an Easter gathering with friends. We even had a traditional Easter Dinner Potluck. We made ham and baked beans, a Boyer Family Tradition. Others brought along a side dish or dessert; and of course some eggs to contribute to the hunt.
As soon as all our guests arrived, the dads scurried around the yard hiding eggs while Calvin and I distracted the kids with the game Simon Says. As soon as the last eggs were hidden, the kids were off running in a frenzy searching for every last candy filled egg! In total, there were over 300.
Each time Hazel found an egg she would pop it right open on the spot eager to discover its contents! Oh how she has grown since last year when she was just a baby wobbling unsteadily along the grass in her sweet Easter dress handed down from Georgia.
And this is Easter fun right here! These kids always have so much fun together. We are incredibly blessed in the friend department!
Feeling grateful for good friends and their gift of love and friendship on this Easter holiday!
