An Easter Gender Reveal Party | 2014

As a prerequisite to sharing this years Easter pictures, I wanted to share some highlights of our Gender Reveal party two years ago.

I absolutely loved planning this event! A Gender Reveal Party is a great way to add to the excitement of pregnancy and an opportunity to share that same joy and excitement with others. Some couples prefer to wait till the birth to find out. I never knew how diverse peoples perspectives were around the question of “wait or not” was until I was pregnant myself. Who knew!? I always thought waiting till the birth was old fashioned and impractical, but there is actually a small camp of ladies who highly disagree, ha! Anyways, I hope any expectant mom would consider throwing a party like this because they are So. Much. Fun! Labor, birth and meeting your newborn for the first time is enough of a surprise! Like I said, hot topic ; )

The Ultra-sound technician was so kind to put a blue or pink peep in this plastic Easter Egg to keep it a surprise for us. She also put the pictures in an envelope tucked in the gift bag so we could be sure.

We both thought it was another girl and we were right! This blurry picture is priceless!

And Calvin’s reaction is the best!

And here’s a few more details from that day.

Our little baby girl was born a few days early on September 14th. Precious Hazel Clementine!
