We arrived in Lincoln City in the late afternoon and after unpacking and settling in we headed down to the beach. The weather was overcast and although we had hoped to escape all the smoke from all the wild fires in WA, it had still made it’s way to Oregon. Regardless, we were all still excited to be so close to the beach!
This little guy had mixed feelings about the beach lol. The sand between his toes and the vast ocean was a lot for his senses to take in.
Day 2. We woke up to see that the weather was still overcast and drizzly so we made plans to visit the Oregon Coast Aquarium.
We explored the Yaquina Lighthouse afterwards.
The beach shore was covered in smooth black pebbles and little driftwood sticks which the kids enjoyed gathering. We were completely surrounded by rich sea life and we even saw an otter bobbling along the shores.
The view from our Condo was spectacular, we enjoyed watching whales breaching and the ocean sunsets right from the balcony. We spent most of our evenings right after dinner in the balcony hot tub.
The next several days were clear skies so we spent them at the beach. Hazel loved flying her kite, Georgia raced around the tide pools exploring and the boys played in the sand.
The kids loved the playground near where we stayed. Each day they were completely wiped out from playing both on the beach and playground.
On our last full day, we ate breakfast at bakery and stopped along the way for some sight seeing before packing up for home.
