Family Camping| Lake Kachess 2017

This last Summer our family took two camping trips at Lake Katchess. We’ve camped there several times but this was our first time camping as a family of five. We packed up the tent and camping gear into our van and traveled just far enough away from cell phone service, internet access and television for a needed unplugging from our noisy and busy world. It felt good to be out in the fresh air and sleeping under a sky filled with stars. Sharing a simple meal, having conversations on a hiking trail, and playing in the sand and water were all gifts.  We were reminded once again how important it is to make time to explore and for quiet connection.  I’m grateful for these small and simple adventures with my family and the reminder to slow down and embrace this season.
