Eric and I decided to take advantage of our 11 year Anniversary by planning a trip to the snow for some skiing. We found a great deal in November and jumped on it! It took some arm pulling to line up childcare for the five day getaway. But we are so glad we did because this just might be our last solo trip for several years! Our awesome deal was to stay at the luxurious Nita Lake Lodge in Whistler, BC.
Calm, Beautiful, Rejuvenating, and Peaceful.
These are the words I would use to sum up our recent trip to Whistler. We were able to leave behind the routine of our daily lives and enter into a five day retreat of solitude and relaxation. This vacation was so overdue and needed for this mama. We skied, slept in, ate food prepared not by me, went to the movies, stayed out way past bedtime, drank pitchers of beer in a bar. Basically we “adulted” and it was so refreshing. A bit of change really does the soul heaps of good.
