Confession: I haven’t spent much time on this blog in the last year or two. Between homeschooling my three children and being a foster mom to our little guy, there just hasn’t been time. But I want to do better! So here I am sharing our vacation from the beginning of 2019. Our vacation took place on the beautiful Lake Wentachee which resides on the eastern slopes of the Cascade Mountain Range only a few hours from our home.
The home we stayed in had a cozy cabin feel to it and we enjoyed making fires and playing board games each night. I actually played the game Monopoly for the first time in years, which ended in a slightly heated exchange between Eric and I over what I believe was cheating on Eric’s part to end the game! Needless to say, I was reminded why I never have enjoyed that particular game in the first place.
I love vacationing and playing with my little family. When days are hard I try my best to remind myself of all the fun memory making experiences we share together. I enjoy looking back at all these pictures which serve as a reminder of how quickly time passes by.
We made sure to spend the majority of our time sledding and playing in the snow!
Before leaving for home, we stopped by Leavenworth to window shop and enjoy a pastry from a bakery in town.
Extremely grateful for this trip and my family.
